Presents a Vocal Jazz Camp

 

July 22-27, 2013

 

Our 2013 Vocal Jazz Camp will be directed by Dr. Timothy Buchholz, Associate Professor of Music at UWMC.

This camp is open to vocalists of high school age to adult. Participants will learn the basics of music theory, jazz improvisation, jazz style and jazz history, and will focus on learning vocal jazz ensemble music and solo songs to be presented at the public performance at the end of the week.

Performance at the UWMC Center for Civic Engagement on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 7pm

As the official musical ambassadors of goodwill for the State of Wisconsin, Kids from Wisconsin has been delighting audiences throughout Wisconsin and across the country since 1969.  From the diversity of vocal talent and outstanding instrumentals to the stunning choreography and costumes, KIDS continue to be one of the most popular youth music groups in the Midwest.  Their high-energy, exciting performances feature 20 singer/dancers and a 13-piece show band, all chosen from among the State’s finest musicians.

 

Advanced tickets available in advance at any Intercity State Bank location beginning June 1, 2013.  $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
